Seeds of Insight 041 - We are all Sons and Daughters of God

It is Easter weekend in the Western world and it is Easter love that is alive in my heart even though our Orthodox Easter is in nearly a month from now.

I love Him dearly. I often feel I’m cut out of His Kingdom and I long for Him, but this is my particular cross that I’m carrying up the hill. What is yours?

If this question appears somewhat strange, let me say a little more. For me, Jesus represents what is possible for each of us - redemptive Love, resurrection & eternity. But none of it was meant literally, unlike what we learnt at Sunday school.

It’s a metaphor.

What if the cross is the invitation to stop running away from what we don’t want and stop running towards what we do want? What  if the cross is the imperative to be still, to be unmoving, to be bound in the face of our greatest fear - annihilation?

What if carrying the cross up the hill is our final resistance, our final postponement, our final fight against being fully still, fully present?

What I carry up the hill is this feeling of being cut out of Love, forsaken.  What about you?

But there comes a point in a lifetime where we can no longer carry, where we can no longer avoid facing it all. It’s the moment of crucifixion. Maybe by that point we’ve already had glimpses of our True Nature, but we still chose to return to the familiar burden by habit, by ignorance, by laziness.

When that moment comes, we are stopped. We are bound to the cross that we carried & we can no longer move. There is no way back and no way forward. It’s the end of “me and my story”.

And there is no other way to true freedom than facing what is at the core of this story, what hold the scaffolding of “me” together and what has been subtly or grossly avoided all our lives. Shame, despair, self-hatred, fear, anger...It is a different cross for each of us. What is it for you?

And are you willing to stop and be crucified?

It is no mistake that Jesus descends to Hell on Holy Saturday, to the dark side, to the shadow world. In other traditions, this moment is called the dark night of the soul. His willingness to embrace the darkness within is an act of redemptive self-compassion and wholeness. And in that, all his ancestry is miraculously healed too.

He embodies what is possible for all of us in this human life form. As we open to meet our own Hell within, what is revealed on the other side is resurrection indeed - awakening to our True Nature, Timeless Love.

We are all Sons and Daughters of God. May we dare to remember.

True Friend Sessions

True Friend Therapy is a form of non-directive advanced hypnotherapy, combined with the wisdom of the Enneagram of Egoic Fixation, NLP & and the gift of Silence passed to my Teachers from their Teachers Sri Papaji & Sri Ramana Maharsi.

Being a True Friend to you simply (but powerfully) means meeting you with a quiet mind and an open heart - being a humble mirror without agenda, without opinion, without judgement. I have found time and time again that this simple open meeting has a deeply healing effect and leaves space for you to see your own beautiful reflection.

It is the greatest gift I ever received and I am so honoured to extend the invitation to you
