Seeds of Insight 014 - What is your life purpose?

Dear You,

We look at the lives of inspiring people and we wonder what power guides them to achieve what they do. Leonardo Da Vinci, Mozart, Einstein, Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, Buddha, Van Gogh, Rumi, Joan D’Arc and on and on - they all lived extraordinary lives of full dedication to their mission. Their message is still alive and touching our hearts centuries after their physical death.

How? Rod Stryker, author of “The Four Desires”,  suggests that what sets them apart is their alignment with their life purpose.

“By connecting to your life purpose, you gather the forces of Nature in the same way a seed does when it starts to germinate. Great, sometimes even miraculous-seeming achievements become possible when you are doing something with your life that you know in your innermost heart is truly meaningful. Anyone you can think of who has achieved something of real, lasting or positive significance has had this kind of connection to a profound sense of purpose - a Dharma Code.”

[...]

The rationale for finding your Dharma Code is a simple one:the moment you discover and commit to serving your Dharma Code - your soul’s driving reason for being - you are able to connect and channel extraordinary power into your life because you are then linked to the infinite field of energy and intelligence that shapes the world.”

~Rod Stryker, “The Four Desires”

What is your life purpose? Have you uncovered it? Few of us are lucky to have connected to this power. Yet we all recognise those moments where effort seems effortless, hard work is energising and our life seems to flow from a reservoir of energy we cannot deplete. We may not call it ‘work’ in the traditional sense and it may not pay our bills, but it is there in our lives if we paid attention to it. And it’s waiting to be uncovered.

If you feel drawn to exploring these questions, watch this space - IG: theseed.yoga. My soul sister Nadia Woodhouse and I are collaborating on a series of workshops weaving yoga asana into meditation and self-reflection to support you in your discovery of what you already know deep inside.

With love,

Iri
